It’s Time to Catch the Brits Folks: The National Health Care Debate

There has been a lot of hullabaloo over President Obama’s desire to see the passage of a national health care act. It appears the healthcare insurance industry has launched another misinformation campaign (Hear from an former health care PR executive how this was done against bill Clinton in the 1990s and Micheal Moor’s Movie Sicko in 2007 http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/07102009/watch2.html). Hecklers are yelling socialism and raising unfounded fears at the President’s organized town all meetings to hold a public debate on the kind of National health care system citizens want. Folks the British passed their National Health Service Act (NHS) in 1946 which includes primary care, in-patient care, long-term healthcare, ophthalmology and dentistry.
